A Tribute to FELA - King of Afrobeat
ANOTHER SPREAD LOVE EVENT YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS!
First we want to start by saying "Thank You" for helping us fulfill our dream of bringing together the best of house, soul, funk, and now, Afrobeat, to Atlanta on a monthly basis!!
Spread Love monthly is now in its fourth month, and going strong, because of you.
We hope you will help get the word out for the October 24th event, a Tribute to Fela (flyer link below). In order for this event to succeed, we really have to get the word out - far and wide! fans still celebrate Fela's musical influence on HIP HOP, R & B, HOUSE, and SOUL.
Fusing deep house with Afrobeat and funk, Spread Love's Tribute to Fela is the brainchild of Grammy-nominated producer and Atlanta's world-class turntablist, DJ KEMIT.
Featuring live performances by MAUSIKI SCALES & COMMON GROUND COLLECTIVE - along with DJ AUSAR of WRFG / 89.3's Kalakuta Show.
This is another Spread Love monthly event NOT TO MISS! Part of Spread Love proceeds will benefit non-profit organizations which invest in sustainable and socially progressive humanitarian causes locally and internationally. This month, a portion of proceeds benefits TRANSAFRICA FORUM & REFUGEE FAMILY SERVICES.
