Ok, so people have been asking me, “Yo, Kemit! What’s the theme for Spread Love this month?”
Over the past 2 years we’ve covered a lot of musical ground at Spread Love. We paid tribute to Roy Ayers, Prince, Fela, the best of Chicago (Minnie, EWF, Chaka, Chicago House & more!), Michael, Stevie, Ladies of Soul, Funk, House, Fania Allstars… we’ve covered Golden Era Hip Hop, and we had a Deep House Reunion. So we’re mixing it up this time with a Spread Love rewind on August 28th!! Bringing back all the themes and tributes from the past two years, in one great night of good music …. Plus, we’re celebrating the birthdays of three people who really helped launch Spread Love: John Crooms, Jerrell Allen and Rhonda Thomas!! Give thanks!
